Overview Job Title: General Manager / Operations Manager Industry: Production and Equipment Services Pay: $110,000–$150,000 salary (depending on experience) About Our Client: Our client is a growing organization with multiple operational departments. They are looking to hire an individual who will play a key role in connecting teams, improving communication, and implementing processes that help the organization operate more efficiently at scale. Job Description The General Manager / Operations Manager will serve as a cross-functional leader responsible for overseeing multiple departments and improving operational alignment across the business.
This role is ideal for a strategic operator who is comfortable working in evolving environments and can translate ambiguity into clear processes and structured workflows. This leader will focus on strengthening collaboration between departments, identifying operational gaps, and developing standardized operating procedures (SOPs) that support long-term efficiency and scalability. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight to department heads across rentals, business development/sales, installation, production/case-building, finance, and shipping/receiving.
Identify operational gaps between departments and implement solutions that improve workflow, communication, and accountability. Develop and standardize SOPs to create consistent and efficient processes across teams. Translate loosely defined or evolving processes into clear operational systems departments can follow.
Foster stronger collaboration and alignment across departments to create a unified operational structure. Manage departmental budgets, including seasonal staffing budgets that fluctuate based on operational cycles. Oversee capital and operational expenditures.
Partner with accounting and leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning. Review vendor proposals, equipment purchases, and major contracts to support strategic decision-making. Support cross-functional initiatives, integrations, and large-scale operational projects.
Lead and support department heads in hiring decisions, workforce planning, and performance management. Qualifications 7+ years of operational leadership experience within a structured or corporate business environment. Experience managing multiple departments and teams through direct reports.
Strong experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and resource allocation, including CAPEX exposure of $4M+. Demonstrated experience improving processes and implementing SOPs in growing organizations. Ability to operate effectively in evolving or ambiguous environments and create structure where needed.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. This role oversees leaders across several operational departments and helps ensure alignment between teams. The position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on operational involvement.
The ideal candidate will strengthen existing systems while introducing structure that supports continued growth. Corporate management experience is strongly preferred. Backgrounds focused primarily on hospitality or event venue management are not aligned with the needs of this role.
