Overview Global Engineering Services (GES) North America (NA) Operations Engineering (Ops Eng) is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineer to root cause, solve, and scale systemic engineering challenges in First and Middle Mile Operations. If leading engineering projects among world-class talent excites you and you want to contribute to sortation and logistics systems within a multinational company, this role offers high ownership in solving complex problems and opportunities to troubleshoot and systematize solutions for systems and processes that leverage automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies and robotics. Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop, monitor, and innovate cost-effective solutions for sortation and distribution systems.
Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through process design, site layout, and IP considerations. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions within tight timelines. Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
Communicate effectively to execute the vision, align on a detailed roadmap, and implement specific technical solutions. Travel occasionally to support work across regions. Travel Role requires 50 - 70% regional travel.
Availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.
