As theOperations Duty Manager,you'llbe at the heart of that operation, leading critical decisions, driving operational performance, and developing a high-performing team within the Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC).

This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe,compliantand efficient delivery of the flying programme.You'lllead teams through real-time operational challenges, influence outcomes across the network, and play a significant role in building the capability of current and future operational leaders.

We'relooking for a leaderfirst and foremost. While strong operational knowledge is essential, success in this role will come from your ability to inspire others, develop talent, createaccountabilityand foster a high-performance culture.

The core responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Lead and develop a team of Operations Controllers and Officers, driving performance,capabilityand engagement.
  • Provide operational leadership across the day-of-operations, ensuring the safe,compliantand efficient delivery of Jetstar's flyingprogramme.
  • Act as a key decision-maker during operational disruptions, balancing customer, operational and commercial priorities.
  • Drive strong operational outcomes across safety, compliance, on-timeperformanceand cost management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Flying Operations, Maintenance, Crewing,Dispatchand other operational teams tooptimisenetwork performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuousimprovementand operational excellence while developing future leaders within the team.
  • Act as the delegate for theManagerJOCC Operations, providing leadership and direction across the operation whenrequired.

To be considered, key skills will include:

  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams in a complex operational environment.
  • Strong operational leadership experience within aviation, airline operations or a comparable 24/7 operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop people, buildcapabilityand drive performance outcomes.
  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management,communicationand influencing skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, problem-solvingcapabilityand continuous improvement focus.
  • A safety-first mindset, underpinned by strong compliance and risk management knowledge.
  • Resilience,adaptabilityand the ability to lead through change.
