Operations Manager – Franchise Operations Position Summary

The operations manager is responsible for overseeing the operational and franchising functions of a tobacco franchisor. The role ensures operational efficiency, franchise compliance, network performance, profitability, and consistent brand standards across all company and franchise locations.

Key Responsibilities Franchise Operations

• Oversee the CGW franchise network and ensure compliance with franchise agreements, operational standards, and brand requirements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees and provide ongoing operational support.

• Monitor franchise performance and implement initiatives to improve sales, profitability, and operational excellence.

• Coordinate franchise onboarding, store openings, training, and network development.

Operational Management

• Manage day-to-day business operations, systems, and processes.

• Monitor budgets, sales, labour costs, inventory, and overall business performance.

• Lead, coach, and develop operational staff and management teams.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, employment, retail, and other applicable legislation.

• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to senior management.

• Lead operational improvement and business growth initiatives.

• Experience in operations management and franchising.

• Strong leadership, commercial, financial, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.

Reporting Line

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director and oversees franchise and operational support functions.
