Location: Cairns North (Sheridan Street Practice)
Employment Type: Full-Time/Part Time negotiable
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 per annum plus superannuation and generous salary packaging benefits
Lead the operations of a purpose-driven healthcare service
Wheels of Wellness (WoW) is a Cairns-based charity providing specialised primary healthcare services to people experiencing homelessness, housing instability and social disadvantage across Far North Queensland.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our GP clinic and administration functions. This is a hands-on role responsible for clinic operations, workforce administration, payroll, compliance coordination and supporting a small administration team.
Working closely with the CEO and Remote Practice Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our services operate efficiently while helping improve health outcomes for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate reception and administration workflows
Oversee day-to-day clinic and office operations
Manage payroll and workforce administration
Coordinate staff onboarding, rostering and leave administration
Maintain workforce compliance and credentialing records
Support accounts payable and receivable using Xero
Coordinate office facilities, suppliers, fleet and assets
Support accreditation, quality improvement and WHS processes
Provide leadership and support to reception and administration staff
Assist with reception coverage when required
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in office management, administration leadership or clinic administration
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience with payroll, rostering and staff administration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong Microsoft 365 skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
A compassionate and non-judgemental approach
Desirable:
Experience in a healthcare, primary care, community services or not-for-profit setting.
Experience using Best Practice software.
Experience using Xero.
Knowledge of accreditation, quality improvement or compliance systems.
Current Queensland Driver Licence.
