Job Description
Position Summary The OCS Engineer is responsible in managing the Overhead Contact System (OCS) scope from design through construction, testing and commissioning of the project. Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties Manage OCS scope, design, procurement, installation, and testing to meet project and customer requirements. Oversee OCS subcontractors, billings, change proposals, and project closeout documentation.
Support Construction Managers with installation plans, drawings, and QA/QC compliance. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of OCS and Traction Power equipment. Manage testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
Maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, and subcontractors. Promote team discipline, morale, and collaboration. Required Skills and Qualifications 5–10 years’ experience in rail projects, Signal/Train Control required.
Electrical PE preferred; knowledge of current electrical codes and standards. Thorough understanding of Signal/Train Control systems used in transit. Proficient in Microsoft Office; CADD experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Analytical, creative problem‑solving abilities; transparent communicator.
