An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a well-established Women's Health Department in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive Consultant-led Obstetric and Gynaecology services across antenatal, intrapartum and gynaecological care, while working within an experienced multidisciplinary team. The role offers a varied clinical workload, excellent Consultant autonomy and opportunities to contribute to education, governance and service development within a supportive regional healthcare service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide Consultant-led Obstetric and Gynaecology services.
  • Deliver antenatal and postnatal care.
  • Provide labour ward and birthing services.
  • Manage elective and emergency obstetric cases.
  • Perform benign gynaecological surgery.
  • Conduct outpatient Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinics.
  • Provide emergency gynaecology services.
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary Women's Health teams.
Qualifications & Registration
  • UK CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Irish CSCST in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (or due to complete training shortly).
  • Eligibility for Specialist Registration in Australia via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or another recognised specialist pathway.
Experience
  • Consultant-level Obstetrics & Gynaecology experience.
  • Broad experience across Obstetric and Gynaecology services.
  • Experience managing both elective and emergency presentations.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality women's healthcare.
  • Strong multidisciplinary working and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making abilities.
