Nursing Assistant - Apprenticeship Opportunity

Overview A vacancy at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust for 2 enthusiastic nursing assistants to join Kingfisher Ward, specialising in the care of working‑age adults in need of psychiatric intensive care. We provide 24‑hour care within a purpose‑built assessment and therapy unit, working within a multidisciplinary approach that optimises each individual’s recovery. Apprenticeship Pathway For candidates without a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, RDaSH offers a Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant subject. Apprentices will receive regular training with a college or training organisation, spending approximately 20% of their working hours on training or studying to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. Responsibilities Carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care, under the supervision of a first‑level registered nurse. Care for the patient’s physical and personal needs to ensure a high standard of patient care. Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients. Contribute to a team that promotes person‑centred care and supports both patients and their carers. Qualifications & Requirements Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
