Job Description
SECTION 1: Job Summary (Summary of the basic functions of the position) The Nurse Injector's responsibilities surround injectable procedures. This role provides safe, knowledgeable, compassionate individualized care to all patients. Responsible for the following, based on the needs of the organization: SECTION 2: Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions) Performs the following procedures according to established protocols: Neurotoxins Dermal fillers Develops a treatment plan for each patient Sale of services and products Maintains inventory-tracking system for all injectables Serve as a patient advocate during patient consultations and treatment Discuss and record patients' medications and allergies.
Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing a patient for treatment Explain treatment procedures (pre and post) to patients. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Inspects sterile items prior to opening and lay supplies out on sterile field in an organized manner.
Responsible for cleaning room and medical equipment in between each patient and at the end of the day. Correctly disposes of infectious waste and biohazard materials. Schedule appointments for patients.
Greet patients arriving at office or clinic. Perform general office duties, as necessary. Inventory and assess the need for instruments, supplies and equipment while keeping the room stocked Performs accurate documentation of all procedures in a timely manner Be prepared for potential emergencies by having knowledge of equipment and supplies and is familiar with their location Inventory and order medical emergency supplies and ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service. Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization. SECTION 3: Experience Requirements One (1) year of dermatology experience, preferred Five (5) or more years of cosmetics injectables, preferred SECTION 4: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, required.
Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function Ability to follow or provide verbal general understanding of HIPAA guidelines SECTION 5: Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
