Offer Description

We are seeking a nurse for the Clinical Trials Unit at Biobizkaia HRI. In line with our policies on equality and employment promotion, applications from people aged 45 and over will be viewed favorably, without this excluding other candidates.

Knowledge and application of basic and complex techniques in nursing practice.
Knowledge and implementation of the clinical trial protocol in which the nursing team is
involved, and receiving training on this, either from the sponsor or the principal
investigator, using the protocol and/or necessary supporting materials.
Taking anthropometric measurements, vital signs and performing electrocardiograms...
Administration of investigational medication.
Other tests/tasks which, according to the study protocol, must be carried out by research
nursing staff in accordance with current rates.
Monitoring and following up on the schedule of patients participating in the study.
Preparing in advance for patients’ study visits.
Conducting study surveys or questionnaires.
Recording of study data relating to research nursing activities in the patient’s medical
record (referred to as source data).

Maintaining the principal investigator’s file and documentation on participants relating to
nursing tasks.
Obtaining informed consent (where applicable).
Monitoring, checking, cleaning and maintaining standard equipment and nursing work
areas.
Managing stocks of nursing supplies and the storeroom. Checking stock levels and
placing orders.
Managing stocks of centralised sample kits and preparing these kits for each patient
visit.
Preparing the relevant budgets for each study relating to the requested nursing support.
Carrying out Standard Operating Procedures relating to their duties.

Contract: Temporary position with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.
Working hours: 100 % Full - time
Base salary for the category: 33.870 € gross per year

The employee must comply with the center's operating rules in terms of dedication, duties, working hours, and vacations. Candidates for this position will be included in a Job Pool that may be considered for future project requirements.

Eligibility criteria

Training in Good Clinical Practice (0–30).
Experience in clinical trials (0–30).
Experience in a healthcare centre (0–15).
Experience in database management and office software (0-10).
English level B2 or a 6-month stay in an English-speaking country (0-5).
Accreditation of English and Basque language proficiency (0-5)
Disability certificate showing a minimum of 33% disability (0-5).
