Vickerstock are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an established and growing food manufacturing business based in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, with the site continuing to expand and invest in its NPD function.

They are open to speaking with NPD candidates at all levels, from graduates and Junior NPD Technologists through to experienced NPD professionals, with the level and responsibilities tailored around your experience.

The Role

Working as part of the NPD team, you will be involved in the development, redevelopment and launch of new and innovative food products, working closely with customers and internal teams across Production, Technical and NPD.

• Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the development of new products from concept through to launch.
• Creating and amending recipes, product specifications and submission documentation.
• Supporting customer briefs and product presentations.
• Managing and accessing new raw materials and ingredients.
• Taking ownership of assigned NPD projects and ensuring they progress to agreed timelines.
• Working closely with Production and Technical teams to coordinate successful product launches.
• Supporting continuous improvement and redevelopment of existing products.
• Keeping up to date with market trends, customer requirements and new product opportunities.
• For more experienced candidates, taking greater ownership of projects, customers, product ranges and categories.

What they're looking for

This is an opportunity where experience can range depending on the level you're applying at.

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• A third-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline or relevant industry experience.
• Experience within NPD, product development, food technology or a similar food manufacturing environment.
• A genuine interest in food development, innovation and problem solving.
