Sports Direct, powered by Accent Group, has launched in Australia! We are looking for a driven Department Managerto be part of our NEWFRANKSTON store due to open inNovember!

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging retail leader who’s ready to take the next step from senior sales or supervisor into a people-focused leadership role. You’ll support the management team, lead a small team on the floor, and help deliver strong sales results in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment.

About the Role

\n

Based in our Frankston store that is due to open in November, you’ll take ownership of a department within the store, leading by example to deliver exceptional customer experiences and strong commercial outcomes.

\n

You’ll play a key role in motivating your team, driving daily sales performance, and ensuring the store looks and feels ready for trade at all times. This role is perfect for someone passionate about retail, streetwear, and sneakers, with a desire to grow their leadership career.

Day to Day, You Will

  • Lead and support a small team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets
  • \n
  • Drive departmental sales, KPIs, and conversion through strong floor leadership
  • \n
  • Coach and develop team members through feedback, training, and on-the-job support
  • \n
  • Support stock management including processing deliveries, replenishment, and click & dispatch orders
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, housekeeping, and overall store presentation
  • \n
  • Act as a role model with a positive,CAN DOattitude, inspiring your team to perform at their best
  • \n
  • Support the Store Management team with daily operations and store execution
  • \n

What You Bring

  • Previous experience as a Senior Sales Assistant, Supervisor, or Team Leader (retail preferred)
  • \n
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering great in-store experiences
  • \n
  • Confidence leading by example and supporting a small team
  • \n
  • Sales-driven mindset with an understanding of KPIs and performance targets
  • \n
  • Passion for streetwear, sports, or sneaker culture
  • \n
  • Energetic, adaptable, and comfortable working in a busy retail environment
  • \n
  • Open availability for late-night trade, weekends, and weekday shifts
  • \n
