In a fast-changing market, your role is to uncover opportunities before others see them—opening doors to new clients, markets, and applications while building lasting partnerships. You’ll represent M.J. Reider externally, bringing market insights back into the business and laying the foundation for long-term commercial success.

What You’ll Do Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities (clients, services, and products) Build and execute strategic prospecting plans aligned with sales and marketing goals Qualify leads and maintain a focused, high-quality sales pipeline Lead the full sales cycle—from first contact through deal closure Build strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders Understand customer needs across technical and commercial functions Provide market insights and customer feedback to enhance our value proposition How You’ll Make an Impact Proactively generate and convert leads into long-term clients Stay highly visible in the market and ahead of industry trends Collaborate with Marketing and internal teams to drive aligned growth Bring energy, resilience, and strategic thinking to every opportunity Technical & Industry Expertise Knowledge of laboratory testing, environmental analysis, and regulatory drivers Ability to communicate effectively with technical and operational stakeholders Understanding of analytical methods, quality standards, and turnaround expectations Translate technical capabilities into compelling commercial value Collaborate with project managers and technical teams during onboarding Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5–7 years of B2B sales or business development experience Proven track record of winning new clients and managing full sales cycles Strong pipeline management and lead generation skills Excellent communication and influencing abilities Willingness to work in a hybrid, field-based sales role Preferred Qualifications Experience selling technical or scientific services Background in laboratory, environmental, engineering, or regulated industries Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying groups Exposure to multi-site or international customer environments What Sets You Apart Ownership & Initiative – You take the lead and drive results Resilience & Confidence – You turn challenges into opportunities Strategic Thinking – You focus on high-value opportunities Commercial Savvy – You build trust and credibility in the market Adaptability & Creativity – You find new ways to win business Passion for Sales – You thrive on growth, competition, and success Our Values At M.J.
