Neurology Nurse Practitioner - Brooklyn, NY
Location: Brooklyn, NY Compensation: $170,000 Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | No Call | No Weekends
An established, high-volume outpatient neurology practice in Brooklyn is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a growing clinical team. This position offers a structured outpatient setting, strong physician collaboration, and an established patient base with consistent volume.
The practice operates two Brooklyn locations. One location maintains particularly high patient volume and serves a predominantly Russian-speaking community. The incoming provider will work between both offices in coordination with the supervising neurologist.
Position Highlights • Fully outpatient general neurology • Adult patient population (primarily 18+) • Structured workflow with physician oversight • Established referral base and steady daily volume • EMR: Allscripts • Dedicated scribe support
Clinical Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and follow-up visits • Manage chronic neurological conditions under physician supervision • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within EMR • Coordinate care and communicate effectively with patients and families
Training & Support • Dedicated scribe assigned • Structured onboarding and transition period • Shadowing with supervising neurologist • Gradual patient ramp-up • Ongoing clinical guidance and support
Compensation & Benefits • $170,000 base salary • Health insurance available • Three weeks paid time off • Major legal holidays observed • No weekend schedule • No on-call responsibilities
Qualifications • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in New York (or ability to obtain) • Outpatient experience required • Neurology experience strongly preferred • Ability to manage patient volume efficiently • Russian-speaking preferred due to patient population (not required) • Strong clinical judgment and professional demeanor
