Job Description

About the Role We’re looking for a Network Engineer to take ownership of a complex, multi‑site enterprise network supporting critical matchday, broadcast and business operations. This is not just a BAU support role. You’ll play a key part in modernising our network estate; improving resilience, performance and security across stadium, office and remote environments.

Your main base will be our Anfield office, with occasional travel to other LFC offices. Responsibilities Own and improve a multi‑site network estate (Anfield, offices, remote sites) Lead resolution of high‑impact incidents (connectivity, Wi‑Fi, performance) Drive improvements in network resilience and failover, Wi‑Fi performance and user experience, and SD‑WAN and site connectivity Work across LAN / WAN / Wi‑Fi / firewalls to deliver end‑to‑end solutions Partner with infrastructure, security and application teams to improve service quality Identify recurring issues and implement permanent fixes (not workarounds) Support ongoing transition to modern, secure network architecture Qualifications Experience supporting complex, multi‑site enterprise networks Experience migrating from a traditional network to an SD‑WAN Comfortable across routing & switching (Cisco / equivalent), firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto) and wireless networks (enterprise Wi‑Fi) Understanding of modern networking concepts such as SD‑WAN, Zero Trust / SASE and network segmentation Ability to lead incidents and problem resolution, not just follow tickets Proactive ownership mindset to improving services Clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Nice to have Experience in broadcast, media or high‑availability environments Exposure to cloud networking (Azure / AWS) Network automation / scripting awareness Vendor certifications (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent) Success looks like Network issues identified and resolved before users raise tickets Improved Wi‑Fi and connectivity performance across key sites Clear measurable improvements in resilience and failover Strong collaboration across IT teams Benefits Competitive salary 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and the option to purchase up to 5 additional days Contributory pension scheme matching up to 5.5% Life Assurance Cover Free financial guidance and mortgage advice Car salary sacrifice scheme Cycle to Work scheme Purchase season ticket loans Exclusive shopping discounts & cashback Will Writing Service Employee Assistance Programme Medicash Health Cash Plan Volunteering opportunities Special LFC perks – retail discounts, partner offers, free LFCTV GO access and priority tickets for matches, events & concerts Equal Opportunity Statement At Liverpool Football Club, we have an unwavering commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and are always striving to make a positive difference in the communities that we operate within.
