Network Engineer

Company Overview We are a high-frequency trading (HFT) firm where network performance, stability, and uptime directly impact business outcomes. Our infrastructure connects multiple trading venues and operates under strict reliability and latency requirements. This is a production-critical environment.

Systems must remain stable during trading hours, and preparation outside trading hours is essential to ensure that. Role Description We are looking for candidates who are comfortable operating in a high-responsibility, performance-driven environment, and who value learning and growth over routine comfort. This is a hands-on role focused on real production systems.

You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure that directly supports live trading operations. This role is not suited for candidates looking for routine or low-pressure environments, and involves rotational shifts and requires availability aligned with trading operations. Key Responsibilities Monitor network health and performance, investigate alerts, and resolve production issues.

Troubleshoot switching, routing, VLANs, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP, and end-to-end path issues. Perform packet-level analysis using tools like tcpdump and Wireshark. Support network changes, migrations, and deployments with proper planning and validation.

Work closely with internal teams (traders, developers, system admins) to ensure stability. Maintain documentation: network diagrams, IP plans, runbooks, and incident notes. Participate in incident response and planned maintenance, including after-hours when required.

Must-Have Requirements Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in networking or network support (applications below this will not be considered). Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP. Experience troubleshooting real production issues end-to-end.

Familiarity with packet analysis tools (tcpdump/Wireshark). Ability to think methodically under pressure and troubleshoot in a structured manner. Work on-site (South Delhi) with occasional DC visits, as required.

Good to Have Exposure to multicast (IGMP/PIM). Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP). Basic scripting/automation (Python/Shell/Ansible).

Experience in low-latency or production-critical environments.
