.Net Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support the design, development and delivery of enterprise applications within a large-scale technology environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
• Work with technical and business stakeholders to define requirements for complex systems and translate them into practical solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Produce and maintain data models using SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Contribute to application architecture decisions, including design patterns, scalability, security and performance requirements.
• Use Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git to manage development, source control and deployment activities.
• Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, reviews and Scrum ceremonies.
• Support code quality, technical documentation and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

Experience Required

• Minimum of seven years' IT experience within an enterprise .NET development environment.
• Strong commercial experience with C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework and REST APIs.
• Proven experience in data modelling and integrating applications with external APIs.
• Practical experience using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, software design patterns and non-functional requirements.
• Previous experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery teams.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and define requirements for complex business systems.
• Experience with Angular, Blazor or React.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus.
• Experience working across large-scale application modernisation or digital transformation programmes.

Educational Requirements

• A third-level qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant Microsoft or Azure certifications would be advantageous.
