National Director of Business Development

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the business development strategy aligned with long-term growth objectives
- Lead the end‑to‑end lead strategy across all variable operations, optimizing performance across OEM, third‑party, paid, and organic sources
- Improve lead generation funnels to enhance quality, conversion, and speed‑to‑contact
- Ensure strong alignment across Marketing, BDC, and Dealership Operations on lead management processes and execution
- Own and optimize the CRM platform (CDK), including structure, workflows, templates, and automation (phone, email, SMS)
- Establish and enforce best‑in‑class CRM utilization and lead management standards across all locations
- Bridge BDC and showroom operations to ensure seamless customer handoffs and consistent in‑store execution
- Provide on‑site dealership support to reinforce standards, improve execution, and elevate the customer experience
- Design and lead training, coaching, and performance programs for BDC and sales teams, including audits and workshops
- Define and track KPIs across lead generation, conversion, CRM compliance, and digital vs. in‑store performance
- Build dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into lead and sales pipeline health
- Conduct regular performance reviews with store leadership and drive continuous, data‑driven improvement across the network
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in automotive retail is required
- 3+ years of experience working with a BDC, digital strategy, or business development
- Proven success leading multi‑location operations or dealer group performance initiatives
- Deep expertise in CRM systems (CDK, VinSolutions, Elead) and digital lead management
- Strong understanding of BDC operations, dealership sales processes, and customer journey optimization
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable results
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Data‑driven mindset with advanced analytical capabilities
