Modernized Baseline Engineer

Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a Lead Engineer to support the modernization of a software baseline focused on advanced Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities. This role is responsible for designing and modernizing AFSIM behaviors aligned with real-world mission capabilities and operational requirements. The Lead Engineer will guide the long-term technical evolution of command-and-control focused simulation environments, ensuring alignment with modern, cloud-enabled architectures and future mission needs.

Key Responsibilities Design, architect, and modernize modeling and simulation behaviors and capabilities using AFSIM Lead updates to simulation model behaviors to ensure alignment with operational and mission requirements Drive modernization efforts across simulation frameworks and cloud-aligned architectures Provide technical leadership to ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term evolution of the simulation baseline Required Skills Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum of 7 years of professional development experience using C++ or Python Minimum of 7 years of hands-on AFSIM development experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Required Experience Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including REST-based services Two or more years of experience in mission planning, operations, or wargaming Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and implementing AFSIM behaviors Desired Experience Experience designing machine learning-assisted behaviors or constructive simulation models Experience working in Joint or Coalition operational environments Experience using automation and tooling to streamline behavior validation or scenario generation Familiarity with frameworks and certifications such as SAFe Practitioner, ITIL 4, and cloud associate certifications Working Place: Beavercreek, Ohio, United States Company : 2026 Jan 29th Virtual Fair - Radiance Technologies
