What You'll Do As a CBRE Mobile Building Engineer, support several facilities in the Tacoma, WA area with repairs and maintenance of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests. Provide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems as part of the Engineering and Technical Services function. Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift.
Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards. Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools. Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
Review inspections of building and industrial systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure operation aligns with design and client environmental conditions. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives. Operate company-issued vehicles in daily work responsibilities.
Apply standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share knowledge within the function. Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values; build consensus to reach agreements.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and related teams. Work within broad guidelines and policies. Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required.
Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $30 per hour and the maximum salary is $35 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
