A leading tertiary education provider is seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer to join their digital transformation team on a 12 month contract with strong potential for extension.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop Android applications with seamless back-end service integrations
• Lead and manage a development team to deliver consistent service outcomes
• Implement student grade and student tracker enhancements
• Provide expert technical solutions across the full project life cycle
• Develop and maintain reusable code libraries for ongoing use
• Define technical requirements for user stories and provide detailed effort estimates
• Optimise applications for performance and scalability
• Ensure delivery within agreed budgets and timeframes
• Maintain code quality through reviews, pull requests, branching strategies and release management
• Foster a work environment of continuous improvement through team collaboration

• Proven experience in Android application development
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams
• Strong back-end integration experience
• Expertise in mobile app performance optimisation and scalability
• Solid understanding of development best practices including code reviews and version control
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
