MLOps Engineer

Overview

Senior ML Engineer at Wallapop leads the evolution of the ML Platform and MLOps, partnering with data scientists and engineers to scale models for personalization, search, and safety. You shape the long-term ML roadmap, improve reliability, and integrate modern tools to serve millions of users. You’ll work across Data Science, Data Engineering, and DevOps in a fast-growing, Barcelona-based environment that values innovation and responsible scaling.

• Iterate and maintain the ML Platform to improve speed, reliability, and maintainability
• Define the long-term vision and roadmap for MLOps
• Support Data Scientists with tooling for developing, deploying, and monitoring scalable models
• Promote engineering best practices (coding standards, testing, CI/CD) within ML
• Coordinate with Data Engineering and DevOps to align ML with infrastructure and data governance
• Investigate and integrate new frameworks/tools (e.g., for LLMs or real-time inference) to keep stack modern

• Proven experience building and maintaining production-ready ML platforms and pipelines
• Strong knowledge of AWS (SageMaker, Lambda, S3) and Kubernetes
• Solid software engineering background with Python, Git, and CI/CD
• Experience with real-time ML architectures using Kafka
• Hands-on experience with vector databases or semantic search (OpenSearch, Vertex AI)
