Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a reputable Sheet Metal Contractor in Watseka, IL that is seeking experienced MIG Welders to join their team. This is an excellent evaluation-hire opportunity for candidates with prior welding experience who are looking for long-term growth, competitive benefits, and multiple opportunities for pay increases based on performance.

Pay: $20 - $30

Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Professional ExperienceEssential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret route sheets to verify counts and document completed operations.
• Notify supervisors of faulty equipment, defects, or operational issues.
• Complete first-piece, last-piece, and every 20th-piece quality inspections.
• Accurately complete and attach green tags for every work order.
• Perform hourly weld tests to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Stand, walk, crouch, and use hands to handle tools, materials, and controls throughout the shift.

SkillsQualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to successfully pass a weld test.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Dependable attendance and reliable work performance.
