Middle School Language Arts Teacher (7th-8th Grade)

Job Summary:

Hillel Academy of Denver, a premier Jewish educational institution in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Language Arts Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our 7th and 8th-grade students. Utilizing your expertise in language arts, you will design and implement comprehensive lessons that foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.

About the Role:

• Teach language arts classes to 7th and 8th-grade students, including reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary instruction
• Implement curriculum that aligns with Hillel Academy's educational philosophy and standards
• Assess student progress and provide support to ensure students meet their academic goals
• Collaborate with the General Studies Director of Education to develop and implement projects and activities
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide regular progress reports to parents
• Stay current with best practices in language arts education

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Create and manage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and respect for all students
• Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
