Job Role: MET Technician
Location: Norfolk
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 Per Annum
Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced and skilled MET Technician to join our team in Norfolk and play a key role in ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.
The Role
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient removal and refitting of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a wide range of products. Working closely with other teams, you will ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and in line with manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components on various vehicles.
- Diagnose and rectify faults relating to vehicle systems following repair.
- Carry out vehicle stripping and rebuilding activities to support body repairs.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Perform quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
- Work collaboratively with panel technicians, painters, and workshop management.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Accurately complete job records and repair documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MET Technician within a body-shop or accident repair environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment confidently and effectively.
- Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence due to rural location.
