MEP Design Engineer

Role Description The MEP Design Engineer role at Gubba Cold Infra is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The role involves designing and integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for cold storage & Warehouses projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing CAD drawings, coordinating with project managers and civil design teams, and performing load calculations and equipment selection for refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.

The engineer will also participate in site assessments, support technical documentation, collaborate with vendors and contractors, and assist in resolving design-related issues during construction. Regular coordination with internal and external stakeholders is expected to ensure project timelines and quality benchmarks are met.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial or cold storage facilities.
• Applied Mechanical Engineering skills, including HVAC, refrigeration, and thermal load calculations.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing MEP layouts and detailed drawings.
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, including power distribution, control systems, and safety standards.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 Years experience in MEP design for industrial, commercial, or cold storage projects is highly beneficial.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
