Mechanical Project Engineer – Thermal & Capital Projects | Advanced Manufacturing Lancaster, PA (Onsite) Full-Time | Day Shift (with project-based flexibility) $75K – $95K Base + Bonus + Relocation Available Own Projects That Power Real Production Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is partnering with a highly advanced, innovation-driven manufacturing operation to identify a Mechanical Project Engineer ready to take ownership of capital projects, thermal systems, and plant infrastructure improvements . This is not a support role. This is a full lifecycle project engineering position where you will lead initiatives from concept through commissioning , directly impacting production efficiency, safety, and long-term plant performance .

What You'll Be Doing: You will lead and execute high-impact engineering projects, including: Managing capital projects ($10K–$5M+) from concept scope execution closeout Developing project scopes, specifications, budgets, and timelines Coordinating vendors, contractors, fabrication, installation, and commissioning Supporting thermal and combustion systems , including furnaces and heat-related processes Partnering with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to solve complex equipment challenges Driving improvements in safety, reliability, and operational performance Managing project budgets, schedules, and contractor safety requirements Contributing to the plant's long-term capital planning and 5-year strategy What Makes You a Strong Fit: We're looking for engineers who bring: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required) 2+ years of manufacturing or project engineering experience Experience in Thermal/Combustion Engineering (required for top candidates) Proven ability to manage projects from concept through execution Strong collaboration skills across production, maintenance, and engineering teams Bonus if you have: Experience with furnace systems, combustion processes, or heat-intensive manufacturing Background managing capital projects and vendor relationships Experience in metals, paper, or heavy industrial environments Strong project management and scheduling capabilities Why This Role Stands Out: Own high-visibility capital projects with direct plant impact Work in a complex, high-performance manufacturing environment Build specialized expertise in thermal and combustion systems (high-demand skillset) Clear path to senior project engineering or plant leadership roles Why Work With NWTS: Northwest Talent Solutions is not a traditional recruiting firm—we are a talent advisory partner .
