MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our specialist manufacturing client in Gateshead with their recruitment of a Temporary Mechanical Technician.

The Job you will do:

• General maintenance of the plant facilities, equipment and premises (pallet trucks, handling equipment, pipeworks etc.)
• Working alongside and supporting another junior maintenance technician who has just completed their apprenticeship
• Reacting to any urgent breakdowns and resolving in a timely manner

About you:

• Experience working within engineering/manufacturing in maintenance focused role
• Time served (NVQ Level 3) in a related discipline is highly desirable
• Welding skills (desirable)
• Effective communication skills at all levels
• Able to work well in a small team and independently
