Job Description
Overview Education: College, CEGEP or other non-un university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Outdoors. Confined spaces.
Work setting: Various locations. Residential. Responsibilities Install machinery.
Repair and maintain machinery. Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects. Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications.
Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials. Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications. Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants.
Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects. Test machines and equipment. Qualifications and Requirements Supervision: 3-4 people.
Area of specialization: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Transportation/travel information: Valid driverβs licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure.
Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
Safety glasses/goggles. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Indigenous people: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people. Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations. Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
