We specialize in the design, manufacture, and distribution of high-quality mechanical power transmission products including: freewheel clutches and backstops, couplings, keyless shaft locking devices, and brakes. Our products serve critical applications in industries such as mining, material handling, steel, cement, and industrial gearing. We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in supporting product development, application engineering, and technical operations for our rotating equipment and power transmission solutions. Position Summary As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, selection, application, analysis, sales, and manufacturing support of our products. The role requires the ability to drive projects end-to-end, starting from understanding customer needs and providing support, through approvals and SAP entries, CAD modeling, preparation of shop drawings, and culminating in successful field installation. This position offers opportunities for growth, including potential elevation to a management role for candidates who demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies. - Perform engineering calculations, stress analysis, and simulations to ensure product performance, reliability, and safety. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, manufacturing, quality, and production) to support customer applications and custom solutions. - Provide technical support for product selection, troubleshooting, and field applications. - Utilize CAD software for 3D modeling and detailed drawings. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements and cost optimization. - Document engineering work, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate project records. - Over time, take on increasing leadership responsibilities, potentially leading projects or small teams. Qualifications and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. - 3-5 years of relevant experience with rotating equipment, power transmission components, or similar mechanical systems. - Strong teamwork and collaboration skills; the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. - Management or leadership experience is a plus, with demonstrated potential for future growth into a management position. - Experience with CREO (PTC Creo) for 3D modeling and drafting is strongly preferred. - Experience with SAP is strongly preferred. - Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
