Mechanical Engineer

My client is seeking a rigorous Mechanical Engineer with experience in precision optomechanical design to support the development of advanced laser and optical systems. This role involves taking ownership of the mechanical lifecycle, from concept and simulation through to prototyping and testing in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Design high-precision optomechanical structures for complex laser and optical systems Translate optical requirements into robust, manufacturable mechanical solutions Perform FEA analysis to validate structural integrity, modal frequencies, and thermal behaviour Support rapid prototyping and iterative testing Design components suitable for small-batch manufacturing Requirements Experience designing stable mechanical structures for optical or laser systems Strong experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Knowledge of materials, thermal expansion, and heat dissipation Experience designing for low-volume or prototype manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
