Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of complex mechanical products with full lifecycle responsibility. This role involves ownership of design, analysis, documentation, manufacturing integration, and on-site installation. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in structural analysis and machine design, along with the ability to lead technical efforts and interface confidently with cross-functional teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead all phases of mechanical product development, including concept design, detailed analysis, documentation, manufacturing integration, and field installation. Mechanical Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis, machine design, and selection of precision motion and drive components (e.g., bearings, gearboxes, encoders, servomotors). Manufacturability & Integration: Optimize designs for cost-effective fabrication, assembly, and integration of precision positioning systems.
Engineering Analysis: Apply strength of materials principles, static/dynamic/thermal analysis, safety factors, buckling, modal analysis, and weldment design. Compliance & Standards: Support product compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards (e.g., CE or equivalent). Collaboration & Communication: Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills; effectively present technical concepts and engage with internal stakeholders and customers.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required) 5+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience Strong foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals Proficiency in 3D CAD for complex mechanical systems (SolidWorks or similar) Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings using ANSI Y14.5 GD&T standards Weldment design and documentation per AWS D1.1, D1.2, or equivalent standards Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), including stress, safety margins, buckling, and modal analysis Design experience with machine elements (bearings, fasteners, gears, gearboxes, motors, etc.) Understanding of closed-loop servo systems and motion control optimization Knowledge of classical statics and strength of materials Familiarity with precision machining and welding processes Proven experience developing complex products and systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Must have legal authorization to work in the United States and eligibility to access export-controlled technical information Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%) Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Experience developing complex mechanical systems and products Hands-on experience with machine assembly and on-site system installation
