Category: Mechanical / Mechanical Design Position Type Contract Duration End of 2026+ Job Details Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Pay Rate: $69/hr Location: Norwood, MA Area Code: 339, 781 ZIP Code: 02062 Start Date: Right Away Keywords: #MechanicalEngineer #AerospaceJobs #AerospaceEngineer Responsibilities Support DO‑160 environmental qualification activities, including vibration, thermal cycling, shock, and mechanical stress testing, in collaboration with test and certification teams Generate and review mechanical design documentation, drawings, BOMs, and engineering change records in accordance with company's standards Support laboratory testing, instrumentation setup, and test execution for environmental and qualification testing Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective design actions Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory and customer requirements Support certification documentation and compliance artifacts for aerospace and defense customers Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Experience performing or supporting RTCA DO‑160 environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, altitude, humidity) Experience with mechanical design for aerospace or aviation hardware Experience creating engineering drawings and documentation Experience supporting avionics, aerospace instrumentation, or aircraft engine‑related hardware preferred Experience supporting certification or qualification programs for commercial or military aerospace applications is a plus Skills and Knowledge Must be a U.S. citizen Ability to work hands‑on in a laboratory or test environment Familiarity with aerospace quality and compliance standards (AS9100, configuration management) is a plus Advanced problem‑solving and critical thinking skills Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities Effective verbal and written communication Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
