Dalys Garage Limited is entering an exciting new chapter. Following the recent launch of the luxury Genesis brand in Northern Ireland, alongside our established Hyundai franchise, we are expanding our technical team and are looking for an experienced Master Technician / Diagnostic Technician to join our award-winning, family-run business.

We are looking for an experienced technician with strong diagnostic expertise who can take on a key technical role within our growing workshop. This is an opportunity to work across Hyundais advanced vehicle range, including hybrid and electric models, as well as the premium and innovative Genesis range. You will be responsible for complex diagnostics, technical problem-solving and supporting the wider workshop team, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the highest manufacturer standards.

The Role

As a Master Technician / Diagnostic Technician, you will:

• Carry out advanced diagnostics, fault-finding and complex repairs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, hybrid and EV-related faults
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information to accurately identify and resolve complex issues
• Carry out servicing, repairs and technical investigations where required
• Provide technical support and guidance to other technicians within the workshop
• Act as a key technical point of reference for the workshop team
• Investigate complex, intermittent and repeat faults and develop effective repair solutions
• Maintain accurate diagnostic and repair records
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard
• Support the continued development of the Genesis workshop operation
• Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technologies, technical information and manufacturer procedures

What Were Looking For

The successful candidate will have strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, a thorough understanding of modern vehicle systems and the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.

You will have:

• Extensive experience as a vehicle technician
• Strong advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent electrical and electronic diagnostic knowledge
• A methodical and analytical approach to fault-finding
• Experience working with modern vehicle systems
• Ideally, experience with hybrid and electric vehicles
• The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical data and manufacturer information
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to first-time-right repairs
• The confidence to support and advise other technicians
• A strong work ethic and professional approach
• A genuine commitment to ongoing technical development
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a busy workshop team

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
• Strong diagnostic experience
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• IMI or equivalent Master Technician / Diagnostic Technician accreditation
• Previous main dealer experience
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic systems
• Hybrid and EV qualifications and experience
