Gate 7 is looking for a capable, enthusiastic and highly organised Marketing Coordinator to join our tourism marketing agency.

This is a varied, hands-on role working across travel trade, PR, events and integrated marketing programs for some of the world’s most exciting destinations and travel brands.

While the role will support activity across the agency, it will have a strong focus on travel trade marketing and tourism development. You will help coordinate campaigns, agent engagement, training programs, industry events and familiarisation trips, while also supporting PR and broader marketing projects when required.

This role would suit someone who has minimum2 years work experience,building strong foundations in marketing, tourism, events or account coordination and is ready to learn more andtake greater ownership of their work. You may already have some experience within a tourism organisation, travel company, agency, hotel, airline or tour operator, or you may be looking to bring transferable marketing and project coordination skills into the travel industry.

You will be someone who enjoys variety, builds relationships easily and takes pride in making sure the detail is right.

The role

As Marketing Coordinator, you will support the planning and delivery of client programs across the agency, working closely with account managers, senior leaders and specialist teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Travel trade marketing and tourism development

Supporting the planning and delivery of travel trade marketing campaigns

Coordinating agent training programs, webinars, sales calls and industry appointments

Assisting with trade events, roadshows, conferences and industry activations

Supporting the delivery of familiarisation trips, including itineraries, delegate communications and logistics

Liaising with travel agents, wholesalers, tour operators, airlines and other industry partners

Researching new trade partners, product opportunities and industry developments

Helping prepare presentations, training materials, delegate resources and sales collateral

Maintaining accurate project plans, timelines, budgets and activity records

Gathering results and contributing to monthly and quarterly client reporting

2. PR and integrated marketing support

Supporting PR, consumer marketing, partnerships and event projects as required

Assisting with media and creator events, familiarisation trips and activations

Coordinating suppliers, venues, guest lists, collateral and event logistics

Conducting research to support campaign ideas, proposals and client recommendations

Preparing briefs, presentations, reports and other client materials

Proofreading and checking materials to ensure they are accurate and client-ready

3. Account and project coordination

Supporting the day-to-day delivery of assigned client programs

Tracking deadlines, actions and approvals across multiple projects

Liaising with clients, partners and suppliers in a professional and responsive manner

Preparing meeting agendas, contact reports and status updates

Helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard

Identifying potential issues early and working with the team to resolve them

Contributing ideas and recommendations rather than simply waiting for instructions

As your experience and confidence grow, there will be opportunities to take ownership of smaller campaigns, events and client projects.

Who you are

This role will suit someone who:

Has minimumtwoyears’ experience in marketing, tourism, events, communications, account coordination or a related field

Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines

Has excellent attention to detail and produces accurate, polished work

Communicates clearly and confidently with clients, partners and colleagues

Enjoys building relationships and working with a wide range of people

Takes initiative and follows tasks through to completion

Is practical, resourceful and solutions-focused

Enjoys variety and is comfortable moving between trade, PR, events and marketing projects

Can work independently while knowing when to ask for support

Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Has a genuine interest in travel, tourism and destination marketing

Experience within the travel industry, tourism marketing or an agency environment would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, tourism, business or a related discipline are desirable.
