Salary: $112,000β$138,000 base salary + 10% bonus
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Market Development Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading building products manufacturer. This remote, highly customer-facing role will support an assigned territory across the Central U.S. and requires up to 60% travel, including regular visits to manufacturing facilities in Texas and Minnesota.
The Market Development Manager will serve as both a technical resource and product expert, supporting customers across the new home, multifamily, and commercial construction markets. This individual will be responsible for strengthening relationships with builders, pro-dealers, retail accounts, and other key customers while developing and executing regional market-development strategies.
Responsibilities
- Establish, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with pro-dealers, retail accounts, builders, contractor yards, and industrial customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer businesses, market needs, product applications, and opportunities for growth.
- Design and implement regional marketing programs that support broader sales and marketing objectives.
- Promote new and existing building products to builders, contractors, dealers, and other industry partners.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource and subject matter expert for products, applications, and market programs.
- Provide professional analysis and reporting regarding product usage, market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Partner closely with inside sales, sales management, marketing, and support teams to help achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Support customers during mill visits and other onsite meetings, providing a professional and knowledgeable representation of the organization.
- Contribute to broader sales, marketing, and organizational planning initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentoring support to members of the outside marketing team and support staff.
- Maintain consistent customer follow-up and deliver a high level of service throughout the territory.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a marketing or sales role within the wood products industry.
- Five to ten or more years of experience within the home construction, building products, or related building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and building materials.
- Experience working directly with builders and an understanding of building codes and product applications.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate product applications.
- Ability to analyze market information and present findings in a clear, professional manner.
- Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with structural wood products or other building materials.
- Engineering, architectural, or building science education or accreditation.
- Experience reading construction drawings or other construction documents.
- CAD experience is helpful but not required.
- Previous experience working with pro-dealers, builders, contractor yards, distributors, or building-material retail accounts.
Base salary of $112,000β$138,000
10% annual bonus opportunity

This position is remote when not traveling. Candidates located in Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, or surrounding Central U.S. states are especially well positioned for the travel requirements of the territory.
