For more information on Electron Energy Corporation, please visit: https://www.electronenergy.com Manufacturing Engineering Manager – High Mix / Low Volume We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and develop our engineering team in a high mix, low volume precision manufacturing environment.

This role combines technical leadership with direct shop-floor involvement in CNC machining, precision grinding, and assembly operations. What You’ll Do Lead, mentor, and grow the Manufacturing Engineering team, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide hands-on support for CNC machining, grinding, and assembly; troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement solutions.

Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure repeatability, quality, and compliance. Champion Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to eliminate waste, improve quality, reduce variation, and enhance safety and efficiency. Design and optimize lean manufacturing cells, workflows, and facility layouts for maximum efficiency.

Oversee supplier and subcontractor performance to meet specifications, quality, and process requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support NPI, process readiness, and operational excellence. What You Bring Strong hands-on experience in CNC machining, precision grinding, and mechanical assembly.

Proven leadership skills, including team development, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. Deep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to analyze processes, implement improvements, and solve complex technical problems.

Strong communication skills and business acumen to partner effectively across the organization. Education and Experience: BS degree with engineering emphasis required; MS degree in engineering (preferred). 8+ years of experience working directly with manufacturing processes (build to print and new product development) and successfully leading a Manufacturing Engineering function within a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment. 5+ years of experience leading teams of engineers in a continuous improvement environment. 2+ years demonstrated hands-on expertise with CNC, Assembly and/or Grinding processes. Black/Green Belt or Lean Certification a plus.

Knowledge of magnetic materials and applications in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
