Job Description Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure repeatable and reliable processes.

Monitor production processes to ensure conformity to technical drawings through spot checks and performance audits. Train and support forging operators to ensure understanding and compliance with new methods and procedures. Identify opportunities for process optimisation, simplification, and automation, including robot integration.

Lead and support change initiatives by challenging the status quo and proposing practical engineering solutions. Maintain and reorganise store locations and departmental layout for maximum efficiency. Provide hands-on technical support in forging operations involving hydraulic and flywheel presses, slitting machines, induction heating, and coatings.

The Successful Applicant A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have: Minimum 3 years of experience. Understanding of mechanical presses or similar application. Nickel alloy materials Induction heating and slitting processes Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manage tolerance stacking across operations.

Evidence of strong mechanical problem-solving capability. Practical knowledge of tool design; familiarity with SolidCAM is a plus. ERP system experience (advantageous).

Familiarity with SolidWorks (training can be provided). Experience with metrology equipment and methods is beneficial. Key Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within teams.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability. Self-starter with a passion for engineering and continuous improvement. Willingness to take ownership and drive projects from concept to implementation.
