Job Overview:
My client is seeking a skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in improving and optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and reducing costs while maintaining a high standard of safety. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes, from design through to full-scale manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve product quality and efficiency.
- Analyze production methods, materials, and equipment to determine the most cost-effective and reliable processes.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce downtime, defects, and costs.
- Collaborate with the product design team to ensure manufacturability of new product designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to equipment, processes, and materials.
- Maintain and modify existing equipment to enhance performance and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to processes, product specifications, and standards.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for operators and other manufacturing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing process.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production data and metrics to report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and components that meet quality standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new production lines or facilities.
- Perform cost analysis and value engineering activities to meet cost targets.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other manufacturing software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar quality systems.
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with quality control techniques (e.g., FMEA, SPC).
- Knowledge of materials and supply chain management.
