About This Role

We're looking for a skilled Manual Bridge Milling Machinist to join our team. You'll operate large-format bridge and gantry mills, delivering precision work on custom components, weldments, and large castings. This role offers hands-on technical work where accuracy, problem-solving, and craftsmanship directly impact the quality of our products.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate manual bridge mills with confidence, working from complex blueprints and GD&T specifications
  • Perform precision milling and boring operations to tight tolerances on large workpieces
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges)
  • Design and implement custom fixturing solutions to optimize workflows
  • Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment for safe component positioning and handling
  • Optimize speeds and feeds for efficient large-part operations
  • Troubleshoot and maintain feed and spindle systems to keep equipment running smoothly
  • Expand your machining repertoire beyond standard repetitive cycles. Master complex, one-off parts that test and grow your skills.ย

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating bridge or large-format mills
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and techniques
  • Experience with overhead crane and rigging operations
  • Knowledge of structural steel, cast iron, and aluminum tooling plate materials
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred:

  • Certifications in machining or precision measurement
  • Experience with specific machine brands or control systems
  • Familiarity with laser alignment tools and advanced measurement techniques
  • Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting background

Position Details

Full-time | $30โ€“$33/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
