About This Role
We're looking for a skilled Manual Bridge Milling Machinist to join our team. You'll operate large-format bridge and gantry mills, delivering precision work on custom components, weldments, and large castings. This role offers hands-on technical work where accuracy, problem-solving, and craftsmanship directly impact the quality of our products.

- Set up and operate manual bridge mills with confidence, working from complex blueprints and GD&T specifications
- Perform precision milling and boring operations to tight tolerances on large workpieces
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges)
- Design and implement custom fixturing solutions to optimize workflows
- Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment for safe component positioning and handling
- Optimize speeds and feeds for efficient large-part operations
- Troubleshoot and maintain feed and spindle systems to keep equipment running smoothly

What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating bridge or large-format mills
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and techniques
- Experience with overhead crane and rigging operations
- Knowledge of structural steel, cast iron, and aluminum tooling plate materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred:
- Certifications in machining or precision measurement
- Experience with specific machine brands or control systems
- Familiarity with laser alignment tools and advanced measurement techniques
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting background
Position Details
Full-time | $30โ$33/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
