In this role, you will lead aspects of treasury operations, manage corporate insurance programs, and support the development and execution of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.

This position plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, optimizing liquidity, and strengthening risk governance across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.The role is based at our Reno, Nevada office or our Vancouver office, and reports to the Director, Valuations & Risk. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport treasury operations, including medium and long-term cash management, liquidity forecasting, and treasury reportingSupport banking relationships and capital management and support the implementation of future treasury systems, controls, and process improvementsBusiness partner to the commercial team and assist the accounting team with revenue recognition matters.Manage the company’s insurance portfolio, including policy renewals, claims coordination, broker engagement, and coverage optimizationSupport the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM programCoordinate risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and prepare materials for executive and board‑level reportingPartner with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risksEnsure compliance with internal controls and support audit activities related to treasury and risk functionsBuilds and maintains trusted relationships across all teams while championing a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and ValuesPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, risk management, or related disciplinesExperience with cash management, banking operations, and insurance program administrationFamiliarity with ERM frameworks and risk assessment methodologiesStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively across departments and manage external partners (banks, brokers, insurers)Proficiency with Excel and financial systems; experience with treasury management systems is an assetPersonal commitment to Lithium Americas’ Purpose, Vision, and ValuesWorking at Lithium AmericasAt Lithium Americas, we believe our people are our most valuable asset.
