About the Role: As a Manager Software Engineering, you will lead a team of software engineers building and maintaining the systems, platforms, and tools that support business operations for internal and external customers.

You will manage delivery end to end coaching and developing your team, shaping technical strategy with technology and product partners, and driving improvements in development practices, tooling, security, and compliance. Success is measured by timely delivery, the quality of software solutions, and the strength of the team you build. You will also champion the adoption of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns across your teams SDLC moving beyond prototypes to production-grade use.

What Youll Do: Manage and develop a software engineering team to deliver projects on time and within budget through coaching, feedback, and performance management.

Create technical strategies in collaboration with technology and product partners to align engineering work with organizational goals. Drive improvements in development practices team structure, processes, tooling, security, and compliance to enhance efficiency and quality. Oversee technical vendor relationships to influence product features and ensure alignment with technical requirements.

Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified team members to strengthen team capabilities and support project demands. Manage delivery of software solutions for internal and external business customers, balancing priorities, scope, and capacity. Establish and track engineering quality standards, including code review practices, testing discipline, and documentation.

Lead adoption of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns across the teams SDLC setting expectations, measuring impact, and moving usage beyond prototypes to production-grade workflows. Partner with analytics and business intelligence stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that support business decisions. Remove blockers for the team, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate status transparently to leadership and stakeholders.

Foster a culture of innovation, agile ways of working, inclusion, and transparency. What Youll Bring: Required: 5+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years directly managing or leading engineering teams (teams of 15 or more preferred). Strong people-leadership track record: coaching, performance management, hiring, and growing engineers.

Proven ability to deliver software on time and on budget while balancing scope, quality, and capacity. Experience setting technical strategy in partnership with product and technology leaders. Solid technical foundation across modern software delivery APIs and services, cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD, and engineering quality practices (code review, testing, documentation).

Working knowledge of database technologies and SQL, including relational database management systems. Demonstrated ability to lead adoption of AI coding tools, prompt engineering, and agentic patterns across a teams SDLC setting expectations and measuring impact, not just piloting. Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.

Nice to Have: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an advanced degree with related experience. Experience managing vendor relationships and influencing external product roadmaps. Background in analytics and business intelligence environments (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server stack SSIS, SSAS, SSRS; Teradata, SAP HANA, or Hadoop).

Experience establishing software documentation standards and engineering processes. Familiarity with platform, infrastructure, or DevOps domains and developer-experience thinking. Commitment to inclusive problem-solving and openness to challenging assumptions with data-driven reasoning.

Must Have Skills: Engineering team leadership, coaching, and performance management. Software delivery management on-time, on-budget execution. Technical strategy development with product and technology partners.

Modern software delivery practices: APIs and services, cloud, CI/CD, code review, and testing discipline. Process, tooling, security, and compliance improvement. Vendor and stakeholder management.

Leading AI coding tool adoption and enablement across the SDLC.
