Our Technology Consulting practice within Financial Services supports leading banks, insurers and financial institutions in navigating complex business and technology transformations. We combine deep industry knowledge with leading technology capabilities to help clients modernize operations, improve customer experiences, strengthen risk and compliance frameworks, and unlock business value through digital innovation.

The Opportunity

As a Manager or Senior Manager within Technology Consulting – Financial Services, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering large‑scale transformation initiatives while contributing to the growth and development of our practice.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex client engagements, and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Combining delivery excellence, commercial acumen and people leadership, you will help clients solve strategic and operational challenges through technology‑enabled transformation.

This is a highly visible role that offers significant exposure to senior client executives, leadership teams and strategic decision‑making processes.

Your Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Project Leadership

  • Lead complex technology transformation projects or critical workstreams, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budget and quality standards.
  • Define and manage project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Establish project governance structures, including status reporting, steering committees and executive communications.
  • Drive alignment between business, functional and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversee the quality and consistency of solution designs, technical architectures, documentation and deliverables.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor and key day‑to‑day contact for client stakeholders.
  • Manage client expectations and facilitate executive‑level communication.
  • Support strategic decision‑making through clear recommendations and problem‑solving approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and business leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to create additional value and strengthen long‑term client partnerships.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams ranging from Consultants to Managers.
  • Allocate work effectively, monitor progress and ensure accountability across engagement teams.
  • Provide continuous coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performance and inclusive team culture.
  • Support career development and talent growth within the practice.

Business Development & Account Growth

  • Contribute to the identification, qualification and development of new business opportunities.
  • Support proposal development, solution design, effort estimation and commercial discussions.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations and bid processes.
  • Collaborate with Partners and senior leadership on account planning and growth strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and positioning of EY technology offerings within the Financial Services market.

Financial Management

  • Manage project financials, including budget, margins, forecasting and resource utilization.
  • Monitor project performance against revenue and profitability targets.
  • Track effort consumption and proactively address financial variances.
  • Support billing, invoicing and revenue recognition processes.
  • Ensure effective financial governance across engagements.

Technology Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Digital Transformation and Business Process Management (BPM)
  • Workflow and Low‑Code Platforms (e.g., Appian, ServiceNow, Pega)
  • Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance Transformation
  • Enterprise Architecture and Systems Integration
  • Custom Application Development (e.g., Java, React and related technologies)
  • Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Emerging Technologies

Additional Responsibilities

  • Promote best practices, delivery methodologies and reusable assets.
  • Support innovation initiatives and technology accelerators.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability development.
  • Help shape EY’s technology consulting strategy within Financial Services.

To Qualify for the Role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • 6–10+ years of relevant experience in technology consulting, digital transformation or technology delivery.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and programmes.
  • Demonstrated track record in client‑facing roles and stakeholder management.
  • Experience leading and developing consulting or technology teams.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, enterprise systems and transformation programmes.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Experience within Banking, Insurance or broader Financial Services organisations.
  • Experience with BPM and workflow technologies such as Appian, ServiceNow or Pega.
  • Exposure to Risk, Regulatory Compliance or Financial Crime programmes.
  • Experience in business development, proposal management and commercial negotiations.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, Appian, ServiceNow, Cloud or Architecture certifications.
  • Experience working in international transformation programmes.
