Position Summary The City’s Finance and Economic Development Department is seeking a dynamic individual with exceptional leadership skills and financial acumen for a regular full‑time Manager, Purchasing position. Responsibilities Report to the Director of Strategic Financial Services.

Manage the City’s purchasing and stores/warehouse functions. Oversee acquisition of goods and services, including tender/RFP/RFQ templates. Liaise with senior department managers and external agencies to provide purchasing support.

Manage disposal and sale of surplus, redundant, or obsolete City assets, and disposition of RCMP found/seized and lost property. Supervise receipt, issuance, storage, and control of parts, supplies, materials, tools, and equipment in the City stores warehouse, and oversee accuracy of inventory records. Develop policies and procedures related to purchasing and stores functions.

Qualifications Purchasing management designation. Minimum 5–7 years of related experience, preferably in municipal government. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Proven management skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Compensation and Work Schedule Salary range: $128,520 – $151,200 (2026 rates).

Exempt position with compressed work schedule. Additional Requirements Applicants required to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC) during the recruitment process.
