Overview We’re hiring a permanent, full-time Manager, Marketing & Brand based in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Community Investment, you’ll play a key role in enhancing EPCOR’s brand, reputation, and customer engagement through integrated marketing strategies. As the Manager, Marketing & Brand, you will lead a team of marketing professionals and external partners to deliver strategic campaigns and high-quality creative services that support both corporate and business unit objectives.
You will operate in a regulated environment, ensuring marketing strategies align with enterprise priorities while delivering efficient, customer-focused outcomes. Responsibilities Provides strategic marketing advice to internal stakeholders, translating business objectives into integrated marketing and brand strategies aligned with corporate and operational priorities. Leads the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment across web, social, and media channels and delivering measurable outcomes. Oversees brand management and governance, advancing EPCOR’s brand across customer-facing and internal touchpoints while ensuring alignment with brand standards.
Manages budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources and delivery of results within approved plans. Establishes and improves marketing processes and tools to enhance workflow efficiency, performance measurement, and reporting. Monitors campaign performance and uses data and insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Acts as a trusted advisor and builds strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders to support aligned priorities and outcomes. Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manages external agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective marketing solutions.
Coordinates cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment of priorities, workflows, and budgets across stakeholders. What’s required to be successful Education and Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Experience Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or communications.
Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams and/or external partners (an asset). Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., utilities, energy, public sector) is considered an asset. Technical & Professional Skills Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align marketing initiatives to business outcomes.
Expertise in brand management, integrated marketing, and campaign delivery. Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decisions. Excellent communication and leadership capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS365 tools.
Assets Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com). Experience with creative and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, video tools). Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools.
