We are looking for a Senior Manager, Salesforce Engineering to lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of our Salesforce platform across multiple business lines. Responsibilities Own the Salesforce engineering strategy and multi‑year roadmap, aligning with enterprise architecture, business priorities, and modernization plans.
Govern development standards (coding, security, accessibility, reuse), lifecycle practices, and platform operating model across squads. Manage platform portfolio, capacity planning, and release calendars across multiple Salesforce clouds.
Ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of program milestones while adhering to SDLC, change management, and regulatory controls. Lead technical discussions; influence solution design, integration strategy, and make pragmatic build‑vs‑buy recommendations.
Oversee code quality through standards enforcement, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices. Lead and grow high‑performing Salesforce squads (potentially 2–3 pods, ~8–15 FTE/contractors); build career paths and succession plans. Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement; coach and mentor engineers, leads, and admins. Define and track engineering KPIs (velocity, change‑failure rate, defect escape, MTTR, release stability, test coverage, platform health).
Drive proof‑of‑concepts/pilots and evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities (e.g., Einstein AI, Data Cloud, OmniStudio, Flow Orchestration). Identify opportunities to simplify architecture, retire technical debt, and scale reusable components, APIs, and patterns. Stay current with industry best practices; where relevant, monitor adjacent trends (e.g., distributed ledgers) for future applicability.
Embed the Bank's risk appetite and controls in day‑to‑day engineering decisions. Ensure secure configurations, data governance, auditability, and compliance with change, access, and separation‑of‑duties policies. Qualifications 8+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years hands‑on on the Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, Experience, or Financial Services Cloud). 5+ years leading engineering teams/squads (manager/lead role), including coaching, performance, and hiring; experience leading multiple pods is an asset.
Proven delivery of complex Salesforce programs across design, build, test, and implementation in a regulated environment. Strong grasp of Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL; familiarity with integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, event‑driven, middleware). Experience with API‑driven, microservice‑oriented architectures and integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms.
Demonstrated excellence in SDLC governance, change management, version control (Git), CI/CD automation, code quality, and automated testing. Cross‑functional leadership with product, architecture, risk, compliance, security, and operations. Ability to set engineering KPIs, interpret metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
