Manager, Customer Account Management (UPM Business Hub Poland)
Location
Business Hub Poland, Wrocław. Hybrid working model combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration.
Job Overview
This role oversees receivables, collections, bad debt, and credit risk operations globally, ensuring seamless delivery and compliance. The manager optimizes cash flow, mitigates credit risk, and acts as a trusted partner to assigned businesses, aligning their specific requirements with standardized C2C processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of receivables, collections, bad debt, and credit risk management processes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and consistently boost operational efficiency to enhance working capital, cash flow, and risk mitigation.
- Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to leadership on collections strategies, accounts receivable trends and credit risk exposure.
- Act as a key contact and trusted partner to assigned businesses, understanding their specific requirements while ensuring alignment with standardized C2C processes.
- Encourage collaboration among cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Act as a change leader and consistently support process standardization, harmonization and automation initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Drive adoption of new operating models and process standards, secure buy‑in from key stakeholders and ensure processes and systems are aligned with policies and rules.
- Develop and manage talent by identifying and cultivating essential skills and capabilities within the team to ensure sustained performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer account management, finance operations, or order‑to‑cash processes such as receivables, collections, credit management or related areas.
- Experience supporting or leading teams and helping others develop through coaching, feedback, and clear priorities.
- Comfortable working with KPIs, operational targets, and data to monitor performance and support decision‑making.
- Understanding of how working capital, cash flow, and credit risk impact the business and having an interest in improving outcomes in these areas.
- Effective collaboration with business stakeholders and the ability to translate business needs into structured, standardized ways of working.
- Open to change and motivated to improve processes through standardization, harmonization, and automation.
- Clear communication and ability to build trust‑based working relationships in a matrix environment.
- Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment.
