Job Summary Own and optimize all aspects of facility operations, infrastructure, and workplace environment across a diverse portfolio of facilities globally, including manufacturing, distribution, office, and sharedâuse environments. Based in Brossard, the role has direct responsibility for the companyâs headquarters facility while supporting broader crossâsite alignment in areas such as operational reliability, facility standards, strategic projects, workplace experience, compliance, and infrastructure governance. The role will work closely with local site resources and leadership teams, with the nature and level of involvement varying based on the operational context and needs of each location.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Facilities Operations & Reliability Develop/manage preventive maintenance programs (CMMS/GMAO), maintenance standards, asset lifecycle planning, and facility performance processes. Ensure reliability and operational effectiveness of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, production utilities, life safety). Oversee workplace services and platforms (e.g., desk/room reservations) to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and userâfocused.
Facilities Strategy, Projects & Financial Management Develop/maintain a multiâsite facilities master plan aligned with business needs and longâterm footprint strategy. Lead major projects (expansions, relocations, modernizations, A/V upgrades) in collaboration with IT and key stakeholders. Own CapEx/OpEx planning, forecasting, budgeting, business cases, and costâoptimization initiatives.
Vendor & Multiâsite Coordination Manage vendor strategy, service performance, and contracts in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing. Drive crossâsite alignment of maintenance, operational, and compliance practices across diverse facility portfolios. Oversee energy management dashboards, reporting, and optimization; support facilityârelated certifications and standards.
Compliance, Risk & Audits Act as primary point of contact for audits, insurance inspections, and compliance activities across all sites. Support ongoing compliance for: CTPAT; SSE/EHS and regulatory requirements; ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environments. Coordinate documentation, corrective actions, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.
Smart Building Coordination (BMS Test & Demo Environment) Support the use of facilities as BMS demonstration and solution validation environments in partnership with R&D and Product Management. Establish governance for test zones, including change management, approval processes, and rollback requirements to ensure operational stability and "show-ready" conditions. Serve as the facility coordination point for testing activities (nonâtechnical execution).
Corporate Interface Maintain alignment with parent company facilities functions regarding major initiatives, standards, and best practices. Provide regular visibility on facility performance, risks, investments, and strategic initiatives. Skills & Minimum Experience Required 5â10+ years in facilities, plant, or building operations (manufacturing preferred).
Experience managing mixedâuse facilities (office + industrial). Demonstrated experience managing projects and external contractors. Bilingual.
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, etc.). Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs. Experience with budgeting and cost control (CapEx / OpEx).
Familiarity with audit and compliance environments. Compliance & Security Exposure to CTPAT or similar frameworks (asset). Working knowledge of ISO environments (9001 / 14001).
Leadership & Operating Style Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate autonomously. Effective crossâfunctional coordination (Operations, R&D, Quality, EHS, Finance). Able to balance operational reliability, financial discipline, and governance.
