Manager

Calico, Blagden Hospitality's bustling urban backyard, tucked away in Blagden Alley, is looking for a FOH manager to join the team. We are seeking a motivated and experienced hospitality professional who demonstrates strong leadership, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will uphold company standards while actively contributing to the growth and success of the business.

This role reports directly to the Area Manager and offers ongoing support and a clear path for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of the front of house employees on a daily basis, ensuring policies and processes are being followed and inspecting operational flow on a continuous basis;
• Responsible for overseeing the floor during service; ensuring the team stays on task and delegating assignments as needed;
• Communicate with chef team and BOH on keeping menus up to date and 86'd items throughout service if necessary;
• Proficiency in event execution in conjunction with the Events Coordinator and BOH team; 
• Ensure guest satisfaction; interacting with guests and engaging in service recovery when issues arise;
• Interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees;
• Efficient in reaching Company goals in sales, service, appearance; while creating a positive, fun and productive working environment;
• Ensure compliance with department of health standards, maintaining superior cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant;
• Identify potential safety hazards and initiate corrective action; ensuring the restaurant is safe for both employees and guests;
• Assist with beverage inventory and ordering as needed.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus!
