About the Role:

At TMUS Global Solutions, we don't just build technology, we take care of the people who build it. We're looking for a Manager, Benefits to be our on-the-ground employee benefits partner in Hyderabad. This is a newly created role that sits at the heart of our people experience the person employees call when they have a question about their health coverage, the person vendors hear from when service falls short, and the person who makes sure T-Mobile's India office stays fully compliant as we scale rapidly.

You'll report to the US-based Senior Manager, International Benefits, who sets global strategy and works with our global broker partners. Your job is to bring that strategy to life locally, running the day-to-day, building trusted relationships, and making sure every employee at TMUS Global Solutions knows their benefits and feels supported.

What You'll Do:

Benefits Administration &Communications (35%):

  • Administer day-to-day benefits programs including group health insurance, life and personal accident insurance, EPF, ESIC, gratuity, and other statutory and supplemental offerings.
  • Create and maintain India-specific benefits communications enrollment guides, onboarding decks, FAQs, and renewal materials in partnership with the Senior Manager, International Benefits and vendors.
  • Collect employee feedback and benefit enhancement requests and surface these insights to the Senior Manager, International Benefits to inform future program decisions.

Vendor & Broker Relationship Management (25%)

  • Own the day-to-day working relationship with local insurance brokers, carriers, TPAs, and other benefits vendors in India.
  • Be the first point of escalation when vendor service falls short investigate, follow up, and resolve.
  • Support annual contract renewals and plan negotiations in close coordination with the Senior Manager, International Benefits and T-Mobile's global broker.
  • Track vendor performance against service commitments and proactively flag risks before they become problems.

Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Administration (20%)

  • Maintain full compliance with all applicable Indian labor laws and statutory requirements: EPF, ESIC, Gratuity, Maternity Benefit Act, and the consolidated Labour Codes (effective November 2025).
  • Keep employee enrollment and contribution records accurate across HRIS and statutory portals (EPFO, ESIC, Shram Suvidha).
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure all statutory filings and contributions are completed on time.
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to stay ahead of regulatory changes and translate their impact into action.

Employee Experience &Support (10%)

  • Be the go-to benefits resource for all India-based employees answering questions, resolving issues, and providing empathetic, timely support throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Run benefits onboarding for every new hire explaining coverage, walking through enrollment, and making sure no one starts their first day confused about what they're entitled to.
  • Run in-person information sessions, open enrollment events, and new hire orientations.
  • Be a steady, knowledgeable resource for employees navigating claims, life events, and coverage questions.
  • Also responsible for other duties and projects as assigned by business management as needed.

What You'll Bring

Must Have

  • Min 47 years of benefits administration or HR operations experience, with hands-on management of insured benefits (group health, life, personal accident) and Indian statutory schemes (EPF, ESIC, Gratuity).
  • Deep knowledge of Indian labor law and statutory compliance requirements, including the consolidated Labor Codes effective November 2025.
  • Experience working within an organization where the parent company or leadership is US-based or global, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across time zones.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) you'll be in regular communication with US-based leadership and our global broker.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred), statutory portals (EPFO, ESIC, Shram Suvidha), and benefits administration systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail enrollment accuracy, compliance filings, and invoice processing can't have gaps.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills employees need to trust you, vendors need to hear from you, and US-based leadership needs to rely on your read of what's happening on the ground.
  • Comfort in ambiguity and a fast-paced, scaling environment where priorities shift and the playbook is still being written.

Nice to Have

  • 24 years of vendor and broker management experience, including contract renewals and escalation resolution.
  • Experience in a high-growth environment with large headcount ramp-ups, new office buildouts, or post-acquisition integration.
  • Familiarity with India market benchmarking tools and survey data (e.g. Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Aon).
  • Master's degree / MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CBP (Certified Benefits Professional), GRP, or equivalent.
